Payment & Refund Policy

At The Wave Resorts, we strive to make the payment process simple and transparent for our guests. This Payment Policy outlines the methods, timelines, and terms associated with booking and payment for stays at our resort in Bangladesh.

1. Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and other major credit and debit cards.
  • Mobile Payment: bKash, Nagad, and Rocket for convenient mobile payments.
  • Bank Transfers: Direct bank transfers to our designated account. Bank details will be provided at the time of booking.
  • Cash: Cash payments are accepted at the resort upon check-in.

Please note that some payment methods may not be available for online bookings and must be arranged before arrival.

2. Currency

Unless otherwise stated, all payments must be made in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT). Exchange rates may apply for international guests who wish to pay in foreign currency. The conversion rate at the time of payment will be used.

3. Booking Deposit

A deposit may be required to secure your reservation, which will be specified at the time of booking:

  • Standard Reservations: A deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance is payable upon check-in or before arrival.
  • Non-Refundable Rates: Full payment is required when booking for non-refundable rates and promotions.

4. Payment Deadlines

  • Advance Payments: If full payment is required before arrival, you will receive a payment request and must complete the payment by the deadline specified in the booking confirmation.
  • On Arrival: Full payment must be made during check-in using any of the accepted payment methods for pay-on-arrival bookings.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

  • Refundable Bookings: Cancellations made within the allowed period (as per our cancellation policy) are eligible for a full or partial refund, depending on the terms of your booking. Refunds will be processed using the original payment method within 3 business days.
  • Non-Refundable Bookings: No refund will be provided in case of cancellation or no-show for bookings marked as non-refundable.
  • Bank and Transfer Fees: Any refund-related bank or transaction fees will be deducted from the total amount.

6. Taxes and Service Charges

All room rates are subject to applicable taxes and service charges as per Bangladeshi law. The final amount payable will include:

  • VAT (Value Added Tax): As per govt law.
  • Service Charges: A standard service charge may be applied to your booking.
  • Other Fees: Any additional fees such as tourism taxes or environmental fees will be specified during the booking process.

7. Late Payment and Penalties

  • If you fail to make the required payment by the due date, your booking may be cancelled without notice.
  • For bank transfers or other manual payment methods, proof of payment must be provided before the deadline to avoid penalties or cancellation.

8. Security and Fraud Prevention

  • Card Verification: For security purposes, guests may be required to present the credit/debit card used for booking during check-in. A verification process may also be required for third-party payments.
  • Fraud Protection: We reserve the right to cancel any reservations we suspect to be fraudulent or unauthorised.
